In order for your engine to run properly, there are numerous "accessories" that need to be attached like the alternator & water pump, and other items that use the engine for their operation like the power steering pump and air conditioning compressor. Also most Hondas use a timing belt which connects the camshafts to the crankshaft. The belt's job is to keep all of these components working with the engine efficiently.
Older Hondas have multiple belts, which power specific components individually, so you'll need a separate belt for the power steering, pump, alternator, and A/C compressor. Newer Hondas use a serpentine belt, which connects all of the engine accessories together. Having multiple belts is better sometimes as if one if them breaks, it may not affect the entire operation of the engine, like the power steering pump belt, but can be more expensive as you are needing to purchase multiple belts. Having a serpentine belt is more cost effective, but can be dangerous to your engine if it breaks, so it's a good idea to make sure its replaced according to Honda's service specifications.
At Honda Parts Unlimited, we carry all of these belts regardless if you have an older Civic or Accord that uses more than one belt, or a new CR-V or Pilot that uses one belt.
